![]() ![]() I look at potential and I see a massive open world. We’re only seeing very limited demos that are polished enough to show off, so it’s not a great measure of what we have to look forward to. In short, I am hyped and think it mostly looks great, but they need to keep listening to community feedback and hopefully can draw more inspiration from DII Resurrected than Diablo III. ![]() I hope they do and will enjoy the game regardless I am sure, but fixing these things is the difference between me playing Diablo 4 for years to come, and me playing diablo 4 a couple times and then going back to Diablo II (or maybe PoE2, but skeptical on that one). If they can achieve fixing these two things, which frankly already look better than Diablo 3, then they will have something truly amazing on their hands. Affixes will be too much like Diablo 3 and have too many odd, circumstance based effects on magic and rare items, as well as the drop chances being too flat (more like Diablo 3) and not have a curve of drop chances that result in really exciting hard to find drops. Itemization will be underwhelming in two regards. My main concern is boiled down to 2 things.Įnemies and their affixes will feel just like Diablo 3 and will turn into a DPS run fest against a disco of random effects that randomly spawn when the enemies are near you. That is not finished, and they have a lot of time to fix this and other things. The skill tree was a huge improvement over what was there prior. I think earliest is 2023.įor me, they just need to keep reflecting and improving upon it with community feedback. Thankfully, I don’t think we are anywhere near release, especially with Diablo II Resurrected coming out this year. I don’t agree with the sentiment, and I think it is for sure going to be better than Diablo III, even if they released it as is, but I have my concerns for sure. ![]()
